Pemberton

After what felt like a long, but extremely scenic drive we arrived at Pemberton in southern WA. What a nice little town. The area and township has a real Kangaroo Valley (NSW South Coast) feel to it only the forests seem much taller.

The landscape is littered with grape vines and pear and apple orchids. I didn't know but my favourite Royal Gala apples come from this country.

Rich in green colour, fat cattle, deer & sheep graze alongside the roads. This is certainly a nice and different part of our journey.

We stayed at the local Pemberton Caravan Park which we recommend, there is a few walks, a natural swimming pool and they have just built world class Mountain Biking trails behind it. It would have been nice to stay a few days.

Rain seems to be following us but rather than put the awning up we have been abusing the camp kitchens because in the main they are quite good, so other than having to cart the stuff in there, it is better than cooking in the rain.

Looking forward to a good sleep with no alcohol in my system.....

Jase.....
