Albany - Day 2

We liked Albany so much we decided to stay another night.  It poured down with rain all night but it stopped long enough this morning for us to go for a walk along the beach.  This is a nice spot at Emu Point.

It started to rain again so we headed into town and found ourselves a nice (and warm!) coffee shop.  The temperature got to a nice and pleasant (not!) 14 degrees today!  We had a walk around town and the local shops then headed back to camp.

It rained on and off all afternoon so we stayed in the campers kitchen and watched the olympics on the big screen tv.  This campers kitchen has been heaven for us while we have been here and lucky for us the best one we have seen on our trip!  We had it all to ourselves too so we didn't have to fight to watch what we (or should I say, the boys) wanted to watch on tv.  It's actually quite nice to not have as many people around as all the Grey Nomads head north during winter.  We are the only ones silly enough to be down here in the middle of winter!  Definately a nice change from when we were further up north.

A big day in the car tomorrow, off to Esperance, about 480kms down the road.  It will certainly be an interesting drive since we have taken the boys DVD's and DS's off them again because of their behavour.  Sometimes it would be easier just to give them their DVD's so we could get some peace.  An interesting drive ahead.  The forecast is for sunny skies so hopefully we have seen the last of the rain for a while.
