The drive from Albany to here yesterday was nice. Undulating roads lined with wheat ladened fields as far as the eyes could see. More amazing landscape.......
A sunny afternoon awaited us in what seemed to be a
pretty town. We knew we would like this place as soon as we drove onto the
Esplanade.
Top Tourist took us in and now that it is in the colder
areas and out of peak season, we find plenty of space in the parks which is
great. Everyone is heading north to the warmer places!!!
So far, we have only experienced 2 days of rain in the
trailer to date. Whilst it rained the whole time we were in Perth, we were
comfortable under the roofs of Chris & Adriana, and The Four Points in town.
What took us a while in terms of getting our heads around
eliminating red dust ingress, packing
& setting up efficiently, & all the other things related to operating
the trailer the best way - rain hadn't come into the equation, nor had
condensation...until now!!!
We think we have it right but the reality is that when
the walls and roof fold on top of your bed, water will get in if you don't do
it properly. Just another thing for us to perfect..
We managed to get out and go for a walk up the main street.
Zander paced me on a 5k run while on his bike, and Mav & Mum just took in
the sights. 10,500 people live here in a great part of the world.
They have spent a lot of time on the waterfront which is
great. Tomorrow we will have a look around the beaches the encapsulate the
town, from all reports they are spectacular.
Jase...
